For active duty military, service members are encouraged to contact their Educational Service Officer (ESO) or command counselor prior to applying for admission or enrolling at the university.

Our mission is to provide access and excellence in undergraduate, adult undergraduate bachelor programs, and graduate education to a diverse student population. Our mission includes educating active-duty service members, Veterans, members of the National Guard, Reservists, and survivors or dependents maximize their educational benefits in compliance with the procedures and regulations of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. We are here to support you and we are here to help.

Academic Performance 

Veterans are supported academically through the Office of Student Affairs. The Dean of Student Life and Veteran’s Student Life Coordinator are committed to support undergraduate and graduate student veterans’ academic, social, and community life at the Mount.

Whether you are a new student veteran who has completed your service, or who has interrupted your education to serve and are now returning, or started your studies elsewhere and are considering transferring to the Mount, we will help guide you to the resources you need to make the most of your Mount experience.

To accommodate busy schedules, Mount Saint Mary’s Weekend/Evening Programs offer:

  • courses from early morning through late evening and even on Saturday
  • a broad range of majors and minors, including a number that can be completed through study in the evening only
  • a range of academic support programs and student services
  • academic advising geared to the needs and interests of adult students.
