Program Goals and Outcomes

Mount Saint Mary’s University has a culture of assessment. This means

    1. Explain how key historical figures, events, ideas and theories influenced religion, ethics, Christian thought and scripture

    2. Demonstrate awareness of the diverse cultures and religions

    3. Understand symbolic elements in religious writings, rituals

    1. Successfully write a Religious Studies Research Paper

    2. Utilize theological vocabulary effectively

    3. Effectively present research results orally

    2. Distinguish variety of methodologies used in religions, Christian thought, scripture and ethics
