The Registrar's Office is the official custodian of student academic records. Upon request,
the Registrar's Office provides official and unofficial copies of Mount St. Mary's University transcripts. Transcripts are issued by the Registrar's Office at the written request of the student concerned. Requests for transcripts must be signed by the student who owns the student record. The Registrar's Office releases academic record transcripts in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 UG Link (FERPA) Grad Link (FERPA).

An official transcript is an academic record issued by the Registrar's
Office. Official MSMU transcripts list courses taken at MSMU and the
grades received in those courses. Official transcripts are printed on
watermarked, security paper and include the University Seal and the
signature of the University Registrar. Official transcripts may be picked up or mailed
to you or to an institution directly. Fee for this service
applies. Transcript requests will NOT be processed until all outstanding debts and obligations are cleared. Electronic copies of official transcripts are not available.
In order to provide the fastest service to our students and alumni, MSMU has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide online transcript ordering. To order a transcript, login to the Clearinghouse secure website.
service includes a step-by-step ordering process, including delivery
options, attaching documents, and fees which can be paid using any major
Orders may be
placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your order will be processed
during regular Registrar's Office business hours. Typically, transcripts
are sent within five to ten business days after processing begins. (Transcript
processing does not occur during University holidays and breaks)
A $2.25 service
charge is assessed by the National Student Clearinghouse for each transcript ordered. The Clearinghouse service charge is in
addition to the regular MSMU fees for transcripts. Your credit card will be charged for all fees due after your transcripts have been sent.
A signed consent
form is required to fulfill your transcript order. The consent form will
be generated at the end of the ordering process. You must sign this
form online, or print and return it to the National Student
Clearinghouse via fax, mail, or as a scanned email attachment. Do not
send the consent form to Mount St. Mary's University.
If your signed consent form is not received by the
Clearinghouse within 30 days of your online order, your order will be canceled. You will not be charged for the canceled order.
Once your order is canceled, you must submit a new transcript order.

5 business days/Allow 7 business days for records prior to 1996. Please
allow 10 business days during the beginning and close of the term.
Transcripts are sent out via REGULAR FIRST CLASS U.S. MAIL ONLY.
24 business hours. Please allow 48 business hours during the beginning and close of the term.
If the transcript will be picked up, it will be ready the next business
day. If the rush transcript will be mailed, it will be sent out the next
business day via REGULAR FIRST CLASS U.S. MAIL ONLY.
Please note: NO RUSH processing is available for records with ANY TERM PRIOR to 1996. For current students NO RUSH processing is available for FINAL GRADES and/or DEGREE POSTING.
If after thirty calendar days of your official transcript
being sent it has not been received by the recipient, you may request
that a copy be resent free of charge (only once per paid request). The resent transcript must be sent to
the same recipient address as specified on your original transcript
request. Once ninety days has passed since the date your official
transcript was initially sent, you may no longer request a resend free
of charge. You always have the option to reorder your transcript.
Unofficial transcripts may only be obtained from the Registrar's Office and are available free of charge. Unofficial
copies are printed on regular blank white paper, and stamped unofficial. They may be
picked up in person or delivered by mail or fax only. Electronic copies of
unofficial transcripts are not available.
Visit the Registrar's Office during business hours and present a photo ID to the Registrar staff.
