Microsoft recruiters were at Mount Saint Mary’s University in March as part of a push to hire more women from diverse backgrounds.
Microsoft Recruiters Come to the Mount
April 10, 2012 -- For the first time, Mount students had a direct line to Microsoft recruiters who were on the College’s Chalon Campus in March for a job and internship fair organized by the Career Services office.
Microsoft executives held an information session for students from all majors looking for careers with the technology company. Executives told a packed audience of students that the company is seeking more women from diverse backgrounds in its quest to evolve with the times.
"It's important for us to have a company like Microsoft that speaks to our students to help motivate them to follow their dreams," Marlene Simon, director of Career Services, told Hoy newspaper, a Spanish-language newspaper that covered the event.
