The Mount celebrates Homecoming 2011 on Oct. 15 on the Chalon Campus.

Homecoming Welcomes Alums Back to the Mount

Sept. 9, 2011 -- Homecoming 2011 will be held Oct. 15 on the Chalon Campus, featuring a welcome from incoming Mount President Ann McElaney-Johnson, special workshops on cooking, job networking and more, and awards presentations for outstanding alums.

This year, Homecoming falls on the actual anniversary of the College’s 1925 founding. The event is for all alums, including those with associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctor of physical therapy degrees, and credential and certificate recipients.

Receiving this year's Outstanding Alum Awards are: Barbara Buckman '63, Henry Alviani '74 and Lisa Kimble Edmonston '82. Ana Grande '01, '09MA will receive the Rising Star Award. The evening culminates with dinner and a concert launching the newly-formed Mount orchestra, made up of students and applied music faculty.

Homecoming also includes:
• Founders Day Liturgy celebrated by Father George O’Brien
• Reunions for the baccalaureate classes of ’66, ’71, ’76, ’81, ’86, ’91, ’96, ’01 and ’06, with a special recognition of the 25th Silver Anniversary Class of ’86 (photos will be taken).

Also, plan to attend Founders Week activities offered on both campuses from Oct. 9–12. This year’s events include Alumnae Mass, Mount Spirit Day, Mount Treasure Hunt and a bake-off.
