Graduate Psychology Adds New Specializations

July 19, 2010 -- The Mount is expanding its master of science in counseling psychology program to include specializations in mental health administration and general counseling psychology to begin this fall.

The new mental health administration concentration integrates classes taught by MBA faculty with core graduate psychology courses. The program is designed for students who are already in the nonprofit sector and wish to advance their knowledge and career options by taking on greater leadership roles.

The general counseling psychology specialization includes coursework in other MSMU graduate programs such as the humanities, education and religious studies. This program is not designed for students seeking to become licensed therapists, but is a natural stepping stone to doctoral level studies.
