Mount Saint Mary’s University welcomes the largest-ever freshman class in its 85-year history.

College Welcomes Largest-Ever Freshman Class

Sept. 8, 2010 -- Mount Saint Mary’s University welcomed its largest-ever freshman class today. The class of 2014 increased 60 percent over last year on the downtown Los Angeles Doheny Campus, and 40 percent over last year on the Chalon Campus in west Los Angeles.

On the Doheny Campus, 251 students are confirmed for the associate program. On the Chalon Campus, 296 students are confirmed in the baccalaureate program.

Many new students hail from greater Los Angeles, continuing a longstanding Mount tradition of educating women from the region. At the same time, the new class is one of the most geographically diverse in the College's 85 years. Students are attending from Hawaii, Minnesota and Vermont, among other states.

Pre-health nursing, pre-health biology and psychology rank among the most popular programs for associate students. Among baccalaureate students, popular choices are pre-nursing, biology, psychology and political science.
