Biography

Entering his fifteenth year of higher education service, Christian B. Teeter, Ed.D. serves as Assistant Professor of Business at Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles teaching courses in Leadership, Management, Strategic Planning, Economics, and First Year Seminar.  Since joining Mount Saint Mary’s, Professor Teeter has supported the development of a new online business curriculum, conducted academic assessment activities, designed an alumni mentoring program, formed an academic advisory board, served in a faculty learning community and chaired the Business Administration Department’s Accreditation Steering Committee. Teeter currently serves as a member of the University’s Curriculum Committee and was selected as a Keck Scholar Mentor for the Summer 2017 term.  Teeter’s research interests are focused on workforce development/labor market concerns and issues concerning the Liberal Arts.  Outside of Mount Saint Mary’s Professor Teeter is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the Downtown Los Angeles Rotary Club, the Colgate University Alumni Corporation Board of Directors, while also serving as an alumni mentor for the University of Southern California and  tutor for West Hollywood Community Housing.  He has previously taught management and leadership courses at UC Berkeley, California State University, and Golden Gate University.  Prior to joining Mount Saint Mary’s, Dr. Teeter was Chief of Staff for Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Berkeley, and commenced his higher education career working as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for the Coast Community College District.  He has received national and local recognition for his administrative leadership, teaching, and volunteerism within higher education. Professor Teeter resides with his family in Los Angeles, where he plays tennis as often as he can.
