As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe all individuals are worthy of exceptional and culturally competent care, including treating the body, mind, and spirit. My passion as a therapist and as an educator is the belief that human relationships are fostered by the practice of self-compassion, courage, and connection.
I completed my practicum training as a Mental Health Therapist for the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, which was especially meaningful to me as cultural diversity is one of my passions, and I was able to help promote the mental health and well-being of individuals historically marginalized by sexual and gender identity labels. I was trained to practice therapy using an interdisciplinary model and a trauma-informed perspective. I have additional experience with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, strengths based, person-centered, and mindfulness approaches.
