Jody has been teaching for 10 years. After teaching third grade for five years, she currently teaches 8th grade U.S. History at Heschel Day School in Northridge, CA. She also works as a Clinical Educator for the DeLeT induction program through Hebrew Union College. Her writing about education and technology has appeared in Scientific American and Education Week and she is a blogger for MiddleWeb's " Future of History " with collaborator Shara Peters.
She obtained her MS in Education and California Multiple Subjects Credential from Mount Saint Mary's University. Prior to this, she earned a certificate in Day School Teaching from DeLeT, and an MA in religious studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. She has a BA in psychology from San Francisco State University.
