Jean Gima was previously a full-time faculty member for the BSN program at Mount Saint Mary’s University. She is currently employed as a nurse practitioner in the electrophysiology service at the UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Center where she assesses and manages adult patients with various cardiac rhythm disturbances & those undergoing procedures such as electrophysiology studies and cardiac catheter ablations. Her practice also includes management of patients with implanted pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders. She has been involved with nursing staff education at UCLA and presented on various topics of interest such as cardiac implanted electronic devices, ablation, and arrhythmia management. Professor Gima’s prior nurse practitioner experience includes family practice with an emphasis on women’s and adolescent’s healthcare.
