Biography
After receiving his PhD in Religious Studies, Fr. Garcia worked in education and pastoral ministry and held various leadership positions in Europe, Africa and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He is a systematic theologian whose dissertation was in the area of church history. It focused on late 18th and 19th century Belgian church history, politics and education. His dissertation has been published in English and French and his doctoral article was published in Dutch in the Belgian Royal National Biographical Dictionary. His current fields of interest are Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, Contemporary Ecclesiology, Christology, Pneumatology, and Ethics (Social Justice in its relationship to War, Genocide and Gendercide).
Fr. Garcia is also a member of the Theological Commission of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
