Professor Cornell became full-time faculty at Mount St. Mary’s in 2018. He serves as the Musculoskeletal Clinical Coordinator in the program. He was an adjunct faculty member at MSMU since 2003. He oversees the student-run, pro bono physical therapy clinic at the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles which provides physical therapy care to the homeless population.
Professor Cornell spent 17 years in clinical practice. He is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist through the APTA. He is a member of the clinical faculty of the HealthCare Partners Medical Group Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program where he teaches in the clinical, research, and didactic portions. His clinical interest is in the areas of movement science for the orthopedic patient and physical therapy in the primary care environment.
