MaeChoe is currently a part-time faculty member in the General Counseling Psychology program. She primarily teaches research methods and design, diverse populations, and oversees the program’s thesis projects. Mae has over 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector in the areas of grant writing, program development, creative writing, and cross-cultural mediation. Mae is currently a PhD candidate in education at Claremont Graduate University. Her research focuses on the educational and professional pathways of diverse populations, including artists of color. Mae has presented her work at several national conferences including the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), and the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME). She’s also co-authored several publications including an article on notable Asian American women in the Journal for the Education of the Gifted (2018).
