Neal Anderberg - MBA

Instructor, Business Administration

After obtaining a business degree in marketing and a minor in advertising design from the Olin School at Washington University in St. Louis, Neal Anderberg returned to his native Los Angeles to pursue a career in branding.  He soon developed a consulting practice specifically serving social-benefit organizations and has guided nonprofit executives and their boards of directors through rebranding efforts to develop new marketing strategies and organizational partnerships.

Over the years, he served 3 elected terms on his neighborhood council in the City of Los Angeles, completed a public affairs fellowship with CORO Southern California, and also managed a campaign for state office. He continues to chair several committees in the public and nonprofit sectors, mostly relating to urban planning and homelessness.

Neal has also taught The Business of Social Change at Antioch University, but enters his 7th year here at The Mount, where his responsibilities range from standard course offerings like Principles of Advertising and Organizational Behavior, to some unique electives like, The Evolution of Social Responsibility, The Business of Government in Business, and The Business Ecosystem of Homelessness.

Neal is also a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University, having earned his master’s degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Nonprofit Management.
