Biography
I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies at California State University, Northridge and Masters of Science in Education at Mount Saint Mary’s University. I have seventeen years’ experience in a Catholic school environment, which served diverse students in the San Fernando Valley. As a teacher, my time in the classroom with students was very rewarding. As principal, I managed my time in a way that enabled me to work with teachers and to spend time in the classrooms as much as possible. I have taught at Mount Saint Mary’s University since 2001 and joined the Education Department faculty full-time in 2003. I teach Education courses and coordinate the California Teaching Performance Assessment at the Mount. As Education Fieldwork Coordinator, I support candidates in early fieldwork, and supervised teaching fieldwork for the elementary, secondary, and special education programs. Professionally, I have particular interest in how assessment is used to inform instruction and curriculum development.
