Join the Black Student Union of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) for our 38th Annual Black Consciousness Conference where the theme for this year is, “THE POWER OF US!”. It is scheduled for Saturday, November 18th, 2017. Our scheduled speakers for this event include: Dr. Boyce Watkins, Dr. Andrea Moore, Tariq Nasheed, Tommy Johnson (Originals Nation), Sista Re’nee (Owner of Shades of Afrika) and Dr. Umar Johnson. More speakers will be announced within the next couple of weeks. We hope that you will join us, as we have an historic conference set where we will delve into the history of the Black Student Union at CSULB, and honor past Black Student Union Presidents and Leaders with the BSU Lifetime Achievement Award.
