Career Services & Internships prepares future professionals through co-curricular engagement while strengthening their critical thinking skills and career readiness through the career exploration process. Career Services helps students understand how different factors are associated to their career decision making process including their interests, skills, and values. They also understand how these relates to various career opportunities that connects to job satisfaction and success.

Students are encouraged to meet with Career Services & Internship staff early to explore a variety of assessment tools. We also provide students with numerous resources, including career and major exploration, career assessments, cover letter and resume assistance, mock interviews, networking events, workshops on building professional skills, alumnae and career panels, and graduate school fairs.

  • Declare Your Major- If you haven’t declared your major, visit the Career Services for career exploration
  • Get Involved- Become a member of an organization or club on campus
  • Get to connected- Build relationships with teachers and faculty and create a profile on the Mount Career Network

  • Community Engagement- Play an active role in your community by volunteering and serving others
  • Experiential Learning- Conduct informational interviews with professionals in the field you are interested in
  • Continued Education- See if the career you want requires a post graduate degree

  • Get Grad School Ready- Research all the requirements: tests, recommendations, GPA, transcripts, deadlines
