Da Camera concert: Jean Rondeau

May 9, 2018

Jean Rondeau, harpsichord

A young French harpsichord phenom, “one of the most natural performers one is likely to hear on a classical music stage these days” (The Washington Post), takes the Doheny Mansion’s Pompeian Room by storm with “an affinity for [the harpsichord] and comfort in its presence that allows him to see in it its possibilities rather than its limitations” (Gramophone). Rondeau performs masterworks of Bach and Rameau with “the sort of communicative gifts normally encountered in musicians twice his age” (The Washington Post).
