The 2017-2018 Da Camera Society’s chamber music season is in full swing. Performances this season include Les Pantomimes at the Pasadena Masonic Temple, Kittel & Co. at the William S. Hart Ranch & Museum, the Atos Trio at the Guasti Villa, and Brazil from A to Z at the Lobo View Estate. Check out the full schedule at dacamera.org.

The Da Camera kicks off its 45th season of "Doheny soirées" with a performance by Pacifica Quartet, a Grammy Award-winning quartet, on Jan. 19 in the Doheny Mansion. Their characteristic "fluency and tonal grace" (Chicago Tribune) shines through in this all-Beethoven program featuring early, middle and late examples of the master's work. The London Times calls Pacifica Quartet "superb musicians...their subtleties of gesture, phrasing and texture are immense." The performance begins at 8 p.m., but concert-goers are invited to attend a pre-lecture at 7:40 p.m. A catered reception with the artists follows the concert.
