November 10, 2017

Mount Saint Mary's has a new research and public space for its Center for the Advancement of Women.

On Oct. 27, 2017, the University unveiled a newly renovated headquarters for its Center for the Advancement of Women, which advances gender equity through research, advocacy and leadership development. The Center's new home is located in the third floor of the Doheny Mansion, on the Mount's Doheny Campus in downtown Los Angeles.

"As a women’s university founded on the belief that women are capable of greatness, issues such as gender parity, equitable opportunity and women’s leadership are woven into our fabric," says Emerald Archer, PhD, director of the Center for the Advancement of Women. "This space will serve as a hub for our ongoing work and as a place where partners and faculty and student researchers can gather.

In addition to serving as the Center's home, recent renovations on the third floor of the Doheny Mansion have also opened up new offices for several other University programs and departments, including: the CSJ Institute; the Da Camera Society; the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Institutional Planning and Research; and Institutional Giving.
