Care Packages Provided by MSN faculty member, Dr. Tori Canillas-Dufau and her family.

Care Packages for the Homeless

MSN faculty member, Dr. Tori Canillas-Dufau and her family organize an annual Christmas care package distribution for homeless men and women living alongside, above or under the 110 Freeway from Adams Boulevard to Century Boulevard in Los Angeles. Donations for the care packages are collected solely from family and friends, and the goal this year is to create 200 care packages. Each care package contains the following items: a knit hat, a pair of knit gloves, socks, hand sanitizer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, Chapstick, travel-size first aid kit, granola bars, raisins, gum, and a very special note of love and encouragement. In the spirit of the season, the care packages are hand delivered one by one on Christmas Day.
