Alfie Ignacio, MSN Alum, Presents at the 26th International Nursing Research Conference in Puerto Rico

Alfie Ignacio presented his abstract on "The Adoption of the Risk of Suicide Questionnaire (RSQ) in the ED: Utilizing the Iowa Model of Evidence-Based Practice" at Sigma Theta Tau International's 26th Nursing Research Conference in Puerto Rico.  His podium presentation is reflective of current nursing trends and timely issues.  Congratulations to Alfie for his participation in this prestigious event.  This conference provides the opportunity to collaborate with nursing scholars from around the world involved in the advancement of nursing science.  Dr. Ignacio also presented last year his work on "The Use of Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral IV Insertion in the Emergency Department," at the 25th International Nursing Research Congress, Sigma Theta Tau International in Hong Kong.

Alfie graduated from the Mount's MSN program in 2008 and is the Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Emergency Department at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.
