MSN Alum Presents at American College of Emergency Physicians

Candice Palmisano presented her thesis work, “Beyond the Double Doors: Barriers to Family Presence at the Bedside During Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Invasive Procedures,” at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) National Conference in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.  The ACEP16 conference focused on clinical and management tools to support the practice of emergency medicine. “Thousands of emergency medicine professionals from around the globe gather annually to attend ACEP's flagship event - the premier event in the specialty.  ACEP16 is an immersive experience that goes beyond what typical medical conferences offer. It is the single most comprehensive consortium that brings together education, networking, policy development, and new technology to one convenient location.”  Source:  https://www.acep.org/acep16/about/

Ms. Palmisano earned her MSN degree (Nurse Educator track) from Mount Saint Mary's University in 2016.  She is continuing her graduate studies at the Mount to earn a post-MSN CNS Adult-Gerontology certificate.  Candice was the only nurse presenter at ACEP 16.  Her thesis project was completed under the guidance of Dr. Tori Canillas-Dufau.
