Angelica Acosta

angelica-acostaMSN Ombudsman, Passes ANCC Nursing Professional Development Board Certification

Angelica Acosta recently passed the certification exam for Nursing Professional Development administered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).  This is a competency-based test that provides a valid and reliable assessment of the entry-level clinical knowledge and skills of registered nursing in the nursing professional development specialty (from ANCC website).  She has been awarded the credential: Registered Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC).

Angelica is the Ombudsman for the MSN Program.  As Ombudsman, she represents students by providing their insight and feedback to faculty and administration to improve the program.  Ms. Acosta is an alum of the Mount’s MSN Program and also a graduate from our ADN Program.  Her clinical expertise is neonatal intensive care; currently she is the Nursing Professional Development Specialist at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena.
