MBA Professor Katherine Whitman to speak on Westernization

One popular view of globalization is that it is producing a homogenization of society, some would say Westernization. This view along with an exploration of the popular question "why are some countries rich and others poor?", led to a sabbatical project to visit a number of countries that are often discussed in development circles. The ones that will be the focus of the presentation are India, Iceland, Australia, Peru and Bolivia. Observations about these locales will be accompanied by photographs of people, work and family life. MSMU Los Angeles MBA Program Steering Committee Chair and Business Administration Professor Katherine Whitman will speak about her sabbatical observations at the next Meeting of the Minds Series on November 6 at the Doheny Campus at 1 p.m. [MBA Program]
