How is the university monitoring the COVID-19/Coronavirus outbreaks?+-
Student Health Services is working with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH), and is monitoring all recommendations and communications from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and LACDPH). Department of Public Health has said they would notify us if anyone from our community tests positive for the virus. If students suspect that they may have symptoms or come in contact with someone they suspect may have COVID-19, they can call and make an appointment with Student Health Services. For the health and safety of all students, walk-in appointments are not being accepted at this time.
Can students get tested?+-
The MSMU Health Center has access to tests and can also connect students to other health resources. They are in constant contact with the Department of Public Health and following their recommendations and procedures.
What is being done to keep public areas clean?+-
Our facilities and cafeteria staff are following public health recommendations and using cleaning products that are recommended. Public areas, including restrooms, are being cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
How do I find out information?+-
Student Health Services has been and continues to send out regular updates to the community. In addition, additional steps to protect yourself can be found at the LACDPH and CDC websites.
