4.1 Course Sequences (3 Pathways)
Undergraduate Course Sequence
Credential courses taken currently with major during the last 3 years of undergraduate program in liberal studies. May be combined with multiple subjects credential. Candidates take 8 units of student teaching in their final semester prior to credentialing.
Traditional Course Sequence
Graduate credential program for those needing a traditional student teaching placement. Candidates take 8 units of student teaching in their final semester prior to credentialing.
Intern Course Sequence
Graduate credential program for those on an Intern Credential. Supervised teaching takes place in their own classroom. Interns take 4 units of supervised teaching and intern support courses (EDU 318 and EDU 318EL) each semester until they are eligible for the preliminary credential, for a minimum of two semesters (8 units)
