Summer application deadline: October 15
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed
for those who have previously completed a baccalaureate degree in
another field and have successfully completed the necessary
prerequisites for this program. The program starts twice a year, in the
Summer and Fall. The program is limited to 40 students each start term.
This is an intensive three semester program that requires students' full
attention and focus.
To be considered for admission, you must complete the application
process by the application deadline. All of the required documents are
to be in the Office of Admission or post-marked by the application deadline date.
Tuition and Fees are approximately $65,216.04 per yearTuition is subject to change**
Room/Board: $15,000-$16,000 per year
Financial Aid Information.
In order to be considered for admission, students must have:
* Indicates courses that must have been completed within five years prior to admission.
* Effective Fall 2009, a student may repeat a course required for the nursing major no more than once. Failure (C- and below) of any two required science or pre-requisite courses results in non-admission.
* Effective Fall 2013, qualified applicants will be invited by email to take the Department of Nursing Math Placement Exam to be considered for admission. View a sample Math Placement Exam.
** Indicates course that may be taken at MSMU during the program if a prior Ethics course has been taken.
With these classes completed and/or in progress for completion, you may now submit your application. For the Summer term, all of the required documents below are to be in the Admissions office or post-marked by October 15th. The start date for the Summer term is mid May each year so all pre-requisites must be completed prior to the that date. For the Fall term, all of the required documents below are to be in the Admissions office or post-marked by March 1st. The start date for the Fall term is end of August each year, so all pre-requisites must be completed prior to that date.
Due to the high volume of applicants, the Office of Admission is unable to provide prospective nursing candidates with course equivalencies for classes taken at 4 year colleges and universities. Please view the Mount Saint Mary’s University catalog and compare your equivalent courses.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing meets the standards for and has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, leading to the California RN license. Mount Saint Mary’s is in the process of researching program professional licensure standards in other states.
