NOTE: This information is intended for students transferring from community colleges or other four-year institutions. If you are a high school student interested in applying as a first-year student to our BS in Nursing program, please use the Common Application and contact the Office of Admission for further information or to speak with a first-year admission counselor.

The Mount's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program readies you for the health care world of both today and tomorrow. As a BSN graduate, you qualify for the NCLEX-RN licensure examination which upon passing awards you a Public Health Nursing Certificate, a document necessary to work as a Registered Nurse in California.

Minimum requirements for consideration are as follows:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • 2.7 cumulative GPA in Science courses
  • Completion of all prerequisite requirements with a grade of C or better
  • Kaplan Exam (Qualified candidates will be invited to take the exam post application deadline)
  • Application & supporting documents must be received on or before the listed deadline below

Our fall application opens September 1. Your documents must arrive or be postmarked by February 1. The start date for the fall term is end of August.

As with all Mount nursing programs, our Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program is approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses and accredited by the Collegiate Commission on Nursing Education.
