Finding Books

  • The Library Catalog is the best way to find books in the MSMU Library.

The library catalog contains records for print books and journals, as well as records for electronic books and journals. If you know exactly what you want, you may search by title, author, call number, or ISBN. Or you may prefer an exploratory search using subject headings or keywords.

The catalog record for a book or journal will give you the basic information needed to find it:

    • in which library and area the book is located,
    • the call number, which tells you where it is on the shelf, and
    • if the book is available or not.

Records for electronic resources will link you to the main search page of the book or journal.

If the MSMU Libraries does not own the book you want, you may request it from one of our Link+ partner libraries. After starting your Library Catalog search, just click the button that reads “Link+” on the right-hand side of the page.

You will need a current MSMU Library Barcode to check out books and to request books on Link+.
