How to Apply as Incoming First-year/Transfer Students:

These prospective Honors Scholars interested in applying to the Honors Program must complete a supplemental “Honors Program” essay question in the Common Application or MSMU Online Application (for BSN transfer students).
Upon admittance to Mount Saint Mary’s University, applications which contain the required supplemental “Honors Program” essay will be reviewed. If you are a transfer student and you have completed less than 24 transferrable units, please know that your official high school transcript and official SAT or ACT test scores will also be used for evaluation into the Honors Program.
All components of prospective Honors Scholars’ Common Application or MSMU Online Application (for BSN transfer students), including their official transcripts, official SAT or ACT test scores, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and co-curricular or extracurricular involvement, may be reviewed for admittance consideration. Upon admittance to Mount Saint Mary’s University and the Honors Program, students will receive the recognition of “Honors at Entrance” and will be invited to participate upon starting their first year at the Mount.
