Develop a special research project

Gain insight into your community and bring the data to life.
In addition to annually producing The Report on the Status of Women and Girls in California, the Center collaborates to develop focused research for corporate and nonprofit organizations, foundations and government agencies. Opportunities start at $5,000. To begin the process, fill out the form.

Or start researching your own community right away. The Center has developed a Guide to Using U.S. Census Data for community members who are interested in preparing their own report. All of Mount Saint Mary’s own reports use the research approach outlined in the Guide for all U.S. Census data. Download the Guide to Using U.S. Census Data here.

Support timely research

Fund the Center's research in key areas.
Data is an essential tool to educate and spur action. As an underwriter, your support will be a catalyst — enabling research to be produced and shared to improve the lives of women and girls. Opportunities start at $5,000. Options include named research opportunities, funding faculty and student research, and supporting a Researcher in Residence.

Participate in our national survey.
Launched in September 2018, "The Women's Professional Conference Experience & Impact Study" seeks to understand women's experiences at professional conferences and how these learning and development events impact women's career trajectories. The first stage of the study includes a national survey and we are looking for 1,000 professional women to contribute.

We want to hear from you. Visit the survey here:
All responses are anonymous.

Create internship opportunities

Give emerging women the skills they need to succeed.
Internships represent an opportunity for potential employers to mentor students to develop the skills they need to thrive in a competitive workforce, and to identify talent before graduation. We work with companies who offer both paid and unpaid internship opportunities.

Establish a scholarship

Ensure every young woman can pursue her education.
At Mount Saint Mary’s, 98 percent of students depend on some form of financial aid. Select from expendable scholarships established at $5,000 or greater, or endowed scholarships at $50,000 or greater.
