The 1098-T Tuition Statement is an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) form provided by Mount Saint Mary's University to students who either registered for classes or had a reportable transaction during the tax year. Reportable transactions include the billing of any qualified tuition and fees a student must pay to be enrolled, and financial aid transactions.
Will I receive a 1098-T form? How? And When?
If you enrolled in courses during the Fall, Spring, and/or Summer semesters for the prior year, you will receive a 1098-T. Your 1098-T may also report courses registered for the following Spring, as many students enroll for Spring in the prior calendar year. For example, if you registered for Spring 2015 in December 2014, the fees will be reported on your 2014 1098-T.
Mount Saint Mary's University subscribes to “going green,” and offers an electronic 1098-T form available via Self Service. Please log onto Self Service, click on Business Office to opt-in to an electronic format.
Both electronic and paper 1098-T forms are released every year by January 31st.
