Financial Clearance Deadlines

The Financial Clearance Deadline is a set date per semester in which all Students are required to have paid their tuition balance in full (tuition, fees, and if applicable, room & board) or enroll in the Mount Payment Plan.

The Financial Clearance Deadlines for traditional and non-traditional programs are listed below.

A $125.00 late fee is assessed to the Student's Account if the balance is not paid in full or the Student is not enrolled in My MSMU Payment Plan by the Financial Clearance Deadline. Another $125.00 late fee is assessed if the account balance is not cleared before the semester start date. A total of $250.00 in late clearance fees may be assessed. If the balance remains outstanding on the first day of the academic term, a restriction is placed on the Student's Account and may result in the Student being dropped from classes.

Financial aid awards, which include grants, scholarships and loans, need to be applied on the Account by the Financial Clearance Deadline to avoid the late fee. Verification of employer's discounts, tuition waivers, and/or vouchers must be submitted to the Business Office prior to the Financial Clearance Deadline to avoid the late fee.
