This was the largest graduating class in Mount history, with more than 1,000 earning their degrees from the associate’s, bachelor’s, Weekend/Evening College and Graduate Division. Commencement ceremonies were held at the Shrine Auditorium on May 9. Keynote speaker Lucy Jones, scientist emerita with the U.S. Geological Survey and a visiting research associate at the California Institute of Technology, told the Class of 2020: “You are heading out into the world — into our community — to make a life for yourself. Everything you do for yourself will be a thread in the fabric of our community. In helping yourself, you help all of us.”
